How can I become a member of USYBA?
There are two types of members in USYBA: associate members and regular members. Anyone can become an associate member of USYBA simply by completing a registration form and paying the membership registration fees and annual dues. You do not have to hold rank in Yoseikan or even be actively training to be an associate member. Regular members must hold rank (at least first degree black belt) in Yoseikan.
To become an associate member of USYBA, follow these steps:
Download, print, and complete the
registration form.
Include a check payable to "USYBA" for $30 for registration fee and first year annual dues.
for an explanation of fees and dues.
Give the form to your instructor. If you don't have a Yoseikan instructor, check the
list of dojos
.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
You must be a member of USYBA before you can earn rank in Yoseikan Budo. Members recieve discounted rates on USYBA-sponsored clinics, camps, and other events. Members also have access to the USYBA
Members-Only
web site. Associate members may attend and participate in discussion at the annual General Assembly. Regular members may vote for officers and Administrative Council members at the general assembly. Regular members may also run for USYBA offices or council seats. USYBA membership does not guarantee you training or promotion in rank. Regular training is best accomplished through an
affiliated dojo
.
